Quick Summary / Abstract:

Background:
|
On an annual basis, schools in our District develop School Plans for Student Achievement (SPSA), which set the annual goals and direction for each school based on data and districtwide initiatives. In the past, the SPSA was required by California Education Code based on funding that schools received through the Consolidated Application. The practices aligned with the development of the SPSA support the cycle of inquiry and ongoing student improvement. All schools in our District have developed a SPSA and have goals aligned to our Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). The SPSA documents the process of reviewing data and past practices, and developing new goals and a plan for moving forward to improve and enhance learning for all students. To develop the Plan, principals, staff members, and School Site Councils, reviewed data, reflected on successes and challenges from the previous year, and developed strategies to meet SPSA goals. |

Status: |
School Plans for Student Achievement directly support the goals in our District Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). The Plans include an analysis of the assessment results from the 2023-2024 school year, a determination of accomplishments and challenges, followed by new goals, and specific action plans for the 2024-2025 school year. The Plans set timelines, align budgets, and ensure monitoring of implementation and student progress. School Plans for Student Achievement Goals: Our areas of focus based on LCAP goals are: Goal 1: Increase the percentage of students who have the skills and knowledge to graduate from high school, college and/or career ready.
