Background:

Each School Report is part of an ongoing informational series meant to inform the public and the Board of Education about the following school topics: school demographics; achievements; academic, behavioral, and social-emotional data; and prioritized goals and actions for the year. Each elementary school will report data on the following topics: school demographics, California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) English Language Arts (ELA) and Math scores, attendance rate, students reporting positive connections, English Learner student progression, office referrals, and 1st and 3rd grade reading fluency. |

Marylin Avenue STEAM Academy is in its inaugural year, with an enrollment of 434 students. It offers a learning environment that allows each student to grow as an individual.
In addition to implementing the science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) magnet program, Marylin will also kick off a major Bond improvement program in the 23-24 school year. Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) continue to be emphasized, and the school plans to create and implement the first Wellness Center at an elementary site this year. |
