Background:
|
Governing boards of school districts are subject to the requirements of Education Code Section 60119, verifying that the District has sufficient textbooks or instructional materials. The governing board shall certify, through a resolution, that each pupil has been provided with a standards-aligned textbook or basic instructional materials in the four core areas of English/Language Arts, History/Social Science, Science, and Mathematics, consistent with the content and cycles of the State framework. The governing board shall determine whether each pupil enrolled in foreign language or health classes has sufficient instructional materials.
The governing board shall also determine the availability of laboratory science equipment offered in grades 9-12 inclusive. |

Resolution No. 011-23/24 has been prepared to certify that the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District has complied with the requirements of Education Code Section 60119, regarding provision of standards-aligned instructional materials for all students. |
