Background:
Due to the early start of the 2024-2025 school year, SEIU and LVJUSD agreed to add one (1) additional sick day for SEIU members. This applies to the 2024-2025 work year only.  
Status:
For the 2024-2025 work year, bargaining unit members working on a twelve (12) month schedule will be entitled to thirteen (13) days of leave of absence for illness or injury. Accordingly, employees having a work schedule of less than twelve (12) months per calendar year and/or less than eight (8) hours per day are entitled to pro rata sick leave.  
Fiscal Impact:
There is no fiscal impact to the General Fund.
