Quick Summary / Abstract:
Approval of Provisional Internship Permits for the 2021-2022 school year. |
Background:
The Commission on Teacher Credentialing [CTC] created the Provisional Internship Permit [PIP] in order to phase out emergency permits, and allows an employing agency to fill an immediate staffing need by hiring an individual, or individuals, who have not yet met the subject matter competence requirement needed to enter an intern program. In order to qualify for a PIP, candidates must: 1. Possess a baccalaureate degree or higher from a regionally-accredited college or university; 2. Satisfy the basic skills requirement (CTC leaflet CL-667, Basic Skills Requirement); and 3. Successfully complete course work for the permit type requested. District staff would like to request a PIP for the following individuals: 1. Zeina Ghazzaoui - Resource Specialist, Christensen Middle School 2. Mary Richards - SDC Mild/Moderate, Smith Elementary School 3. Enyin Silvestre Tejada - SDC Mild/Moderate, Mendenhall Middle School 4. Rae Smiley - SDC Moderate/Severe Adult Transition, Granada High School/Arroyo Mocho Site 5. Pamela White - SDC Moderate/Severe, Marylin Elementary School |
