Background:
Pursuant to Government Code Sections 54956.95 and 912.4 our Board of Education is required to act on a claim within 45 days after the claim has been presented to our District. Claim No. 22-04 was received on April 28, 2022 for property damage that occurred to a staff member's iPhone by a student. The claim was denied at our May 17th Board meeting pending further investigation.  
Status:
Claim No. 22-04 was received on April 28, 2022 for property damage that occurred to a staff member's iPhone by a student. The claim was denied at our May 17th Board meeting pending further investigation. The investigation has been completed on Claim No. 22-04.  
Fiscal Impact:
The amount of the claim, $449.00, will be paid from our District's Self Insurance Fund.  
Superintendent's Recommendation
Our Superintendent recommends accepting Claim No. 22-04 in the amount of $449.00 for property damage that occurred on March 3, 2022.
