Background:
|
The Alameda County Office of Education's (ACOE) Standards-Based Grading Teacher and Principal Cohorts, in partnership with Crescendo Education Group, seeks to improve the accuracy of teachers' grading practices and to increase opportunities for success for all students, to ensure fair, consistent, and meaningful practices. The Fall 2021 Cohorts will include:
- Three (3) Professional Development Sessions
- Four (4) Remote Coaching Sessions per Teacher Participant
- Site Leadership Support (two (2) sessions)
- One (1) Executive Leadership Coaching Session
At the end of the Fall 2021 Cohorts, ACOE will conduct interviews with students to capture their personal voices and experiences, and share results with participants. Finally, Crescendo Education Group will perform data collection and reporting in order to provide a summary of progress, challenges, and outcomes to school leadership.

Status

Participation in ACOE's Standards-Based Grading Cohorts is intended to improve teachers' grading practices as a method for instructional improvement, and increasing student achievement outcomes.

Fiscal Impact
:
|
The cost of the contract will not exceed $70,000, and will be funded through the Expanded Learning Opportunities Grant (Assembly Bill 86).
|
|
