MOU ACOE & LVJUSD re CCSPP 21-23 .docx.pdf
Quick Summary / Abstract:
Background: The proposed MOU between ACOE and our District seeks to enable ACOE & LVJUSD to establish a partnership as a part of the consortium for the CCSPP, also known as the Alameda County Community Exemplary School Sites (ACCESS). The ultimate goal of this program is to improve the existing community school model at Marylin Avenue Elementary School.
Status Under the terms of the MOU, ACOE will serve as the authorized fiscal manager for the grant. They will also be responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting on data for evaluation, research, and reporting purposes. LVJUSD agrees to establish a Community School Action Team (CSAT) to assess needs, identify goals, develop a strategic plan, and implement enhanced community school services, systems, and practices at Marylin Avenue Elementary. The CSAT will also participate in a Community of Practice (CoP) facilitated by ACOE, where they can share learning, develop systems for collaboration and partnership, receive technical assistance, and develop a framework for scaling-up and sustaining community school models. ACOE, LVJUSD, and partners will provide CSAT members with professional development, and an opportunity to attend the annual summer institute, as well as participation at quarterly parent leadership workshops.

Additionally, LVJUSD must develop and implement a site-level Community School Strategic Plan (CSSP), to include training, assessments, and continuous engagement in a quality approval cycle.
Fiscal Impact ACOE will pay LVJUSD a total not to exceed $500,000 over the life of the CCSPP/ACCESS grant. There is no impact to the General Fund.
