Background:
In June of 2023, our Board formally approved the Annual Update to the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). Per Education Code (EC) 5270 the district shall file the Annual Update and/or LCAP with the County Superintendent of Schools within five days.
On or before August 15 of each year, the County Superintendent of Schools may seek clarification, in writing, about the contents of the LCAP and within 15 days, districts must respond in writing to any request for clarification.
Status
:
On August 15, our District received six clarifying questions from the Alameda County Superintendent of Schools and submitted the responses to the County on August 31, 2023. While the response has been received by ACOE, it will not be officially accepted until approved by our governing Board.
Fiscal Impact
:
There is no impact to the General Fund related to the clarifying questions. The LCAP indicates actions and services with an associated anticipated budget for each action item. Budget items included in the LCAP are part of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). The Federal Addendum is associated with Federal Programming budgets, including Title I, Title II, Title III and Title IV.
