Background:
|
Horizons Family Counseling, a division of the Livermore Police Department, provides mental health related services to youth and families in the Tri-Valley area. LVJUSD has a longstanding relationship/partnership with Horizons Family Counseling Services. This partnership has supported students and families across our district.

Status
:
|
Effective July 1, 2024 through December 31, 2026, Horizons Family Counseling will partner with our District to provide mental health related services to LVJUSD students at designated school sites. School sites are determined by an assessment of needs conducted by our Wellness Coordinator and the Horizons Family Counseling Clinical Manager. Horizons will also collaborate with our Wellness Centers, Psychologists, Counselors, and other school personnel.

Fiscal Impact

There is no impact to the General Fund. Service costs are offset by the Mental Health Student Services Act grant.
