Background:
|
At the April 21, 2020, Board Meeting, our Board of Trustees awarded a Lease-Leaseback contract with Roebbelen Contracting, Inc. for the Project.
|

Status
:
|
Roebbelen Contracting, Inc. has completed the Project on schedule and within budget.
The Bond Program Department is submitting Resolution No. 123-21/22, Acceptance of the Joe Michell K-8 School Increments 1 & 2 - New Classroom Building, Gymnasium, and Parking Lot Project to our Board of Trustees for approval and is requesting Board of Trustees' direction to file a Notice of Completion (NOC) with the Alameda County Recorder's Office. Filing the NOC notifies the subcontractors and suppliers on the Project that the Project is complete, and that they should have been paid by the general contractor. The Project contract was pursuant to the lease-leaseback provisions of Education Code section 17406 and the District will begin making lease payments to the general contractor approximately thirty-five (35) calendar days after the passage of this resolution.

Fiscal Impact

The original contract amount was twenty-five million seven hundred sixty-nine thousand three hundred eighty-five dollars ($25,769,385.00) with an approved contract deduction of one hundred eighty-two thousand six hundred fifty-five and 85/100 dollars (-$182,655.85). The total contract amount is twenty-five million five hundred eighty-six thousand seven hundred twenty-nine and 15/100 dollars ($25,586,729.15). This is a Measure J funded Project.
