Background:
|
At the May 9, 2023 Board Meeting, our Board of Trustees approved a Lease-Leaseback contract with Flint Design Build LLC for the Project.
|

Status
:
|
Flint Design Build LLC has completed the Project on schedule and within budget. The Bond Program Department is submitting Resolution No. 012-23/24, Acceptance of the HVAC Replacement 2023 Project at Christensen Middle School, to our Board of Trustees for approval and is requesting Board of Trustees' direction to file a Notice of Completion (NOC) with the Alameda County Recorder's Office. Filing the Notice of Completion notifies the subcontractors and suppliers that the project is complete, and that they should have been paid by the general contractor. Businesses owed money on this project have time to file stop notices which restrict our District from paying any final retention amounts to the general contractor until the expiration of the required 35-day time period. Should there be any outstanding stop notices on the project, our District will withhold payment from the general contractor as appropriate.

The original contract amount was one million seven hundred eighty-five thousand thirty-one and 00/100 dollars ($1,785,031.00), with approved deductive change orders of one hundred thirty-six thousand seven hundred eighty-four and 00/100 dollars (-$136,784.00). The total contract amount is one million six hundred forty-eight thousand two hundred forty-seven and 00/100 dollars ($1,648,247.00). This is a Measure J funded Project.

The Superintendent's recommendation is that our Board of Trustees approve Resolution No. 012-23/24, Acceptance of the HVAC Replacement 2023 Project at Christensen Middle School - Notice of Completion.
