Staff is bringing a recommendation forward for our Board of Trustees' approval for a contract to provide a job classification and compensation study.

Background:
|
As part of the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the California School Employees Association (CSEA), our District shall contract with a third party provider to conduct a full job classification and compensation study.
Staff consulted with surrounding districts to seek recommendations for an organization that can complete a job classification and compensation study that meets the needs of our District. Staff issued a request for proposal to three recommended contractors in December of 2021.
Staff received a proposal that matched our needs from Educational Management Solutions (EMS). Our District used EMS in 2014 for a classification compensation study. The work was completed on time and with satisfaction. EMS has extensive experience and specific knowledge and skills in the development, organization, and uses of aspects of human resources services and school systems.

Staff is recommending that our Board approve the Contract with EMS to complete a job classification and compensation study. The proposed Contract amount is fifty eight thousand nine hundred and ninety five dollars ($58,995), and includes travel, planning, job analysis, market survey, findings and recommendations.

The Contract amount is fifty eight thousand nine hundred and ninety five dollars ($58,995), and will be paid out of the General Fund.
