Quick Summary / Abstract:
|
Approval of Provisional Internship Permit for the 2024-2025 school year.
|
Background:
|
The Commission on Teacher Credentialing [CTC] created the Provisional Internship Permit [PIP] in order to phase out emergency permits, and allow an employing agency to fill an immediate staffing need by hiring an individual, or individuals, who have not yet met the subject matter competence requirement needed to enter an intern program. In order to qualify for a PIP, candidates must:
1. Possess a baccalaureate degree or higher from a
regionally-accredited college or university;
2. Satisfy the basic skills requirement (CTC leaflet CL-667, Basic
Skills Requirement); and
3. Successfully complete course work for the permit type requested.
The District will be requesting a PIP for the following staff members for the 2024-2025 school year:
1. Jessica Webb, Education Specialist, Christensen Middle School
2. Jessica Patrick, Education Specialist, Leo Croce Elementary School
|
