Background:

Our District has been awarded a $1.5 million Federal Department of Labor (DOL) career technical education grant (with 25% in-kind match from LVJUSD and community partners) for the YouthBuild Program.
Three prior positions were approved earlier in the year in support of the grant-funded program.
This proposed position of YouthBuild Construction Coordinator was created in response to the need to support the grant-funded program implementation.
