Quick Summary / Abstract: Staff will present an informational report on Vineyard Alternative School High School.
Background: This School Report is part of an ongoing informational series meant to inform the public and the Board of Education about the following school topics: school demographics; achievements; academic, behavioral, and social emotional data; and prioritized goals and actions for the year. Each high school will report data on the following topics: school demographics, California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) English Language Arts (ELA) and Math scores, passing grades in core classes (A-C), UC A-G completion, attendance rate, Algebra 1 pass rate (C or better), English Learner student progression, suspensions, and College and Career readiness.
Status Vineyard Alternative High School is a non-traditional school providing independent study, with an enrollment of 149 students. It offers a learning environment that allows each student to grow as an individual and choose a learning path that prepares them for future college or career. The school continues pushing forward for success with the programs it has in place.

Vineyard Alternative High School has established programs which align to Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and center around data-driven discussions focusing on student achievement for the 2022-2023 school year. Some of those programs include: A-G compliant Mentor Meeting courses, professional development relative to the role of the Mentor Teacher in Independent Study, increased availability of Congress of Ravens Student Co-Work Space, and targeted family education regarding concurrent enrollment opportunities and expanded Career Technical Education (CTE) options.
Fiscal Impact There is no impact to the General Fund.
