Staff is bringing a recommendation forward for our Board of Trustees to award a contract for the Junction Ave. K-8 School Fire Alarm Upgrade, HVAC Replacement (Bldgs. C & D1) and Site Electrical Upgrades Project (Project).

|
Background:
|
On September 17, 2019, our Board of Trustees approved a pool of contractors qualified to provide proposals for the Project using the Lease-Leaseback contracting method.
On December 14, 2021, our Board awarded a contract for pre-construction services for the Project to Blach Construction.
|
|
Status
:
|
Based upon on evaluation criteria, including price, design/value engineering approach, project methods, and strategic plan to complete the Project, staff recommends Blach Construction as the contractor providing the best value to the District for project construction services.
|

Fiscal Impact
:
|
The recommended contract amount is one million eight hundred thirty-seven thousand eight hundred sixty-seven dollars ($1,837,867.00). This is a Measure J funded project
|

The Superintendent's recommendation is that our Board of Trustees approve the Award of Contract for the Junction Ave. K-8 School Fire Alarm Upgrade, HVAC Replacement (Bldgs. C & D1) and Site Electrical Upgrades Project.
