Staff is bringing a recommendation forward for our Board of Trustees' award of a contract for the Asphalt Repair, Reseal and Restripe 2022 Project.

Background:
|
The Measure J Bond Program issued an invitation to bid on February 28, 2022. Bidders were notified of the requirement to be prequalified to bid the project. Bidders were also notified of a mandatory pre-bid conference on March 8, 2022.
|

Status
:
|
On March 24, 2022, staff opened bids for the Asphalt Repair, Reseal and Restripe 2022 Project.
Staff recommends the contract be awarded to R&M Paving Contractors, Inc., the firm that provided the lowest cost, responsive, and responsible bid.
Attached to this agenda item is the contract for this work.

Fiscal Impact

The recommended contract amount is eight hundred eighty-eight thousand dollars ($888,000.00). This is a Measure J funded project.
