Staff will present Resolution No. 039-21/22, Intention to Provide Preliminary Notifications to Employees Due to a Reduction of Particular Kids of Services, for Board approval.

Background:
|
In response to a potential loss of revenue due to the expiration of the Measure G Parcel Tax in July 2022, staff has determined that it may be necessary to reduce or discontinue certain particular kinds of services in our District no later than the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year.
|
|
Status
:
|
Staff has determined that it may be necessary that 27 FTE certificated employees be reduced pursuant to the adopted order of employment.
1. Elementary Science Specialists 15 FTE
2. Teachers on Special Assignment 4 FTE
3. Secondary Single Subject Teachers 8 FTE
Resolution No. 039 - 21/22, directs the Superintendent, or designee, to give Notices of Recommendation not to Re-employ in accordance with the provisions of the California Education Code 44949 and 44955 to the appropriate certificated employees pursuant to Section 44955.
