Staff will present a summary of the Tentative Agreements and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD).
Attached is the executive summary of language changes and tentative agreements.

Background:
|
Each year, negotiating teams representing our District and SEIU meet to discuss items of interest pertaining to the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The full contract is opened every three (3) years and, in the off years, each negotiating team is entitled to a limited number of reopeners as defined in the Contract. During the 2022-2023 school year, the full contract was re-opened for a successor agreement.
During the Board Meeting on February 21, 2023, contract re-openers were presented as a Public Hearing, and were received and adopted.

Article 4: Union Rights
Article 5: Dues Deduction
Article 11: Leaves
Tentative Agreement re: Compensation 2022-2023
SEIU completed their ratification vote on April 23, 2024.
