Quick Summary / Abstract: The Independent Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) is submitting the Measure J Bond, Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Annual Report to our Board of Trustees.
Background: The purpose of the CBOC is to inform the public and our Board regarding expenditures of Measure J Bond funds pursuant to Education Code Section 15278. "The CBOC shall actively review and report on the proper expenditure of taxpayers' money for school construction, and advise the public as to whether the District is in compliance with the requirements of paragraph (3) of subdivision (b) of Section 1 of Article XIII A of the California Constitution."

The CBOC is comprised of volunteer members who represent a cross-section of our community as required by Education Code Sections 15278-15282.
Status The CBOC has concluded its annual review of Fiscal Year 2020-2021 expenditures for the Measure J Bond funds. The CBOC relied on the annual performance and financial audits conducted by Nigro & Nigro, PC, a professional accountancy corporation, which disclosed no instances of non-compliance with the terms of Proposition 39 or Measure J. The CBOC Chair will introduce the Annual Report.

The Measure J Bond CBOC finds that the District is in compliance with the requirements of the law based on its review and observations.

Fiscal Impact This report does not create a fiscal impact.
