Quick Summary / Abstract: Staff will present an informational report on Rancho Las Positas Elementary School.
Background: Each School Report is part of an ongoing informational series meant to inform the public and the Board of Education about the following school topics: school demographics; achievements; academic, behavioral, and social data; and prioritized goals and actions for the year. Each elementary school will report data on the following topics: school demographics, California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) English Language Arts (ELA) and Math scores, attendance rate, students reporting positive connections, English Learner student progression, office referrals, and 1st and 3rd grade reading fluency.
Status Rancho Las Positas Elementary is a thriving elementary school with an enrollment of 568 students in TK - 5th grade. It offers a learning environment that allows each student to grow as an individual. Students are recognized throughout the year in their classrooms, and at schoolwide assemblies, for academic achievement as well as character traits. Our school continues to push forward for success with the goals it has in place.

Rancho Las Positas Elementary has several projects set for the 2022-2023 school year. Some of these projects include: Increasing positive connections through Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Positive Friday Phone Calls, campus improvements through Girl Scout and Eagle Scout projects, and increased effectiveness of Universal Access (UA) time to meet the needs of all students.
Fiscal Impact There is no impact to the General Fund.
