Background:
|
In order to remain compliant with the Federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), our District is required to complete a Local Education Agency (LEA) Plan. Three items comprise the LEA Plan: the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), Consolidated Application (ConApp), and the LCAP Federal Addendum. The LCAP Federal Addendum is a supplement to the LCAP, and describes the actions that each district will take to ensure that certain programmatic requirements are met, including student academic services designed to increase student achievement and performance, coordination of services, needs assessments, consultations, supplemental services, services to homeless students, and others as required.

Each year, our District reviews and updates the Federal Addendum to reflect the actions and services currently offered to our students. Federal funding received in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District comes from Title I, II, III, and IV. The Federal Addendum must address specific requirements outlined in the document for each of these funding sources. Most of the required components have been addressed in the 2021-2024 LCAP; however, there are areas that are not. ESSA Federal funds are supplemental to State funds. The funds address Federal requirements and support State & local funding priorities.
