Staff is bringing a recommendation forward for our Board of Trustees' approval for the purchase and subscription services agreement for integrated school safety screening software.

Background:
|
The safety of our students and staff is of the utmost importance. Our District has been in search of a volunteer management system, and an improved visitor screening system that fits the needs of our District sites.
Raptor Technologies (Raptor) is used in several neighboring districts, and has an integrated school safety screening software that gives full control of - and a full line of sight to - who enters our buildings. Raptor Technologies provides an integrated Visitor Management and Volunteer Management system that screens multiple visitor types: visitors, contractors, students, staff and volunteers.
Raptor instantly screens every visitor against the registered sex offender database, and confirms guardianship, so that only those who are cleared enter our sites. The program is able to sync with our student information system so that accurate student and guardian information data is used to ensure students are released to only approved guardians. The screening process is instant, and has the ability to alert administrators and other appropriate personnel immediately.

Fiscal Impact
:

The initial contract amount is fifty one thousand nine hundred eighty four dollars ($51,984.00), which includes the annual software fee, equipment and supplies for all school sites including our District Office. The recurring annual cost is twenty four thousand seven hundred dollars ($24,700.00). Cost would be covered by the Safety Fund.
