In order to best support our students and teachers with tools to implement innovative, traditional, and online mathematics instruction, as well as remediation, staff recommends the purchase of Dreambox Learning.

Background:
|
Dreambox is an online math tool that is engaging, aligned to State Standards, and provides differentiated math lessons for students while providing teachers with real-time data by continually assessing student learning through each lesson.
|
Status
:
|
In keeping with our Board’s direction, Dreambox learning supports our Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) Mathematics Teaching and Learning Plan. Therefore, staff recommends the purchase of Dreambox Learning licenses for students in Kindergarten – 5th Grade. This will provide an online resource for students who can benefit from accelerated learning in mathematics. Dreambox uses cutting-edge, adaptive technology to assess not only the accuracy of answers but also how students solve math problems.

Costs associated with the purchase of Dreambox Learning will be paid using one-time, Assembly Bill (AB) 86 Expanded Learning Opportunity Grant funds.
