Background:
|
David Struebing, Chair of the 2021-2022 Parcel Tax Independent Citizens' Oversight Committee will present the Committee's annual report to our Board of Education and community.
In June 2014, the Livermore electorate passed Measure G, extending the prior parcel tax to preserve programs and services in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District. These funds maintain critical programs for students. Specific in the ballot language is the formation of an independent citizens' oversight committee to perform annual reviews. This Committee reviews the expenditures to assure our community that the money has been spent in the manner intended by the voters.

Tonight's annual report to our community will be the last reporting on our Measure G Parcel Tax, as it will convert to Measure A Parcel Tax, given the successful extension on the May 3, 2022, special election.
