Background:
|
The Consolidated Application and Reporting System (CARS) is used by the California Department of Education (CDE) to distribute categorical funds from various federal programs to school districts throughout California. Annually, each Local Educational Agency (LEA) completes the application to document participation in these programs and provide assurances that they will comply with the legal requirements of each program. Program entitlements are determined by formulas contained in the laws that created the programs. Participation in these categorical programs requires the completion of the following applications: 2022-23 Consolidated Application for Funding

The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District has elected to participate in the following Federal categorical programs for the 2022/2023 school year: Programs Funding Source Estimated 22/23 Funds Title I, Part A Basic Grant* Federal $476,684 Title II, Part A (Teacher Quality) Federal $212,931 Title III, Limited English Proficient Federal $161,343 Title IV, Student Support and Academic Enrichment Federal $35,198 The legal assurances governing the operation of the various programs have been reviewed by the required District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) chairperson. *Note: The three schools receiving Title I program funds and services for the 2022/2023 school year are Jackson Avenue Elementary, Marylin Avenue Elementary, and Junction K-8.
