Staff is bringing a recommendation forward for our Board of Trustees to award a contract for the Livermore High School Varsity Softball Field Project (Project).
|
|
Background:
|
On October 4, 2022, our Board of Trustees approved a pool of contractors qualified to provide proposals for the Project using the Lease-Leaseback contracting method. The pool of Board approved contractors was reviewed, and Robert A. Bothman Inc. was selected as the firm most suited for this specialized scope of work.
On October 6, 2023, Bond Staff requested a pre-construction services proposal and a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) structure for construction of the Project. The pre construction proposal was received and evaluated by staff.
On November 1, 2023, the District awarded a contract for pre-construction services to Robert A. Bothman Inc., to maximize the benefits of the Lease-Leaseback process (LLB) including the expertise of the general contractor early in the design development process.
On March 15, 2023, the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposal was received and evaluated by staff based on Division of State Architect approved drawings.

Status

Based upon on evaluation criteria, including price, design/value engineering approach, project methods, and strategic plan to complete the Project, Staff recommends Robert A. Bothman Inc. as the contractor providing the best value to the District for project construction services.

Fiscal Impact
:
|
The contract amount is two million eight hundred fifty-two thousand six hundred seventy-four and 00/100 dollars ($2,852,674.00). This is a Measure J funded project.

The Superintendent's recommendation is that our Board of Trustees approve the Award of Contract for the Livermore High School Varsity Softball Field Project.
