The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) is committed to developing courses that provide students with a wide range of opportunities to prepare students to "contribute and thrive in a changing world." Our Board of Education encourages creating new courses and updating courses that are engaging to our students and prepare them for success in the 21st Century. These new courses include the California State Standards and support students in their pursuit of college and career readiness. Our high school teachers regularly review course offerings to ensure content reflects current standards and is relevant and applicable. Based on our strong commitment to engage all learners, the following new courses are being proposed in Visual and Performing Arts

Our high school teachers regularly review course offerings to ensure content reflects current standards and is relevant and applicable. Based on our strong commitment to engage all learners, the following new course is being proposed in Visual and Performing Arts: Developing Tenor/Bass Choir.
This course is designed for beginning choral students, who specifically sing in the tenor/bass range, to learn to increase their vocal skills and explore music through choral repertoire and performance. This course is intended to serve as a Level 1 and Level 2 (of 3) within a choral program for tenor/bass singers. Students will expand their musicianship by creating, performing, and responding to music in a variety of contexts. They will receive instruction in music reading, music theory, and vocal development and technique catered to their needs as tenor/bass singers.
