Background:

Revisions to the Board Calendar for the 2024-2025 School Year shall be approved by the Board of Education.

Status

It is recommended that our Board of Education add a November 18, 2024 Special Board Workshop for the By-Trustee Map Consideration presentation.
Pursuant to Education Code (EC) Section 35143, the district’s governing board shall hold an annual organizational meeting. In a year in which a regular election for governing board members is conducted, the organizational meeting shall be within a 15-day period that commences with the second Friday in December following the regular election. Therefore, we will change the Organizational Meeting to Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
It is also recommended that the January 11, 2025 Governance Workshop be cancelled, and to add a January 16, 2025 for a Special Board Workshop.
