Staff is bringing a recommendation forward for our Board of Trustees' approval of a contract for project inspection services for the Marylin Elementary School STEAM and Renovation Project Increments 1 and 2 (Project).

Background:
|
As part of the Marylin Elementary School STEAM and Renovation Project, the Division of the State Architect (DSA) requires review and inspection of the construction scope of work.
Our Board of Trustees approved the updated pool of firms authorized to provide project inspection services to our District at the Regular Board of Trustees Meeting on January 14, 2020.

Status

On December 6, 2023, a Request for Proposal (RFP) was issued to our Board approved pool of inspectors. The RFP included proposals for Increments 1 and 2 of the Project. Proposals were received on February 8, 2024, and reviewed by staff.
Based upon criteria which includes items such as experience working with our District, availability, and proposed costs, staff recommends that the contract for this work be awarded to United Inspection, Inc.

Fiscal Impact

The recommended contracted amount is two hundred eighteen thousand, two hundred ninety-five and 00/100 dollars ($218,295.00). This is a Measure J and State Bond Funded project.
