Background:
|
At the April 20, 2021, Board Meeting, our Board of Trustees ratified a Lease-Leaseback contract with Roebbelen Contracting, Inc. for the Project.
|

Status

Roebbelen Contracting, Inc. has completed the Project on schedule and within budget.
The Bond Program Department is submitting Resolution No. 107-21/22, Acceptance of the East Avenue Middle School Phase 3 Modernization - Buildings A & B Project to our Board of Trustees for approval and is requesting Board of Trustees' direction to file a Notice of Completion (NOC) with the Alameda County Recorder's Office. Filing the NOC notifies the subcontractors and suppliers on the Project that the Project is complete, and that they should have been paid by the general contractor. The Project contract was pursuant to the lease-leaseback provisions of Education Code section 17406 and the District will begin making lease payments to the general contractor approximately thirty-five (35) calendar days after the passage of this resolution.

The original contract amount was eleven million five hundred forty-seven thousand three hundred eighty-two dollars ($11,547,382.00) with an approved contract deduction of three thousand one hundred eighty-four and 58/100 dollars (-$3,184.58). The total contract amount is eleven million five hundred forty-four thousand one hundred ninety-seven and 42/100 dollars ($11,544,197.42). This is a Measure J funded Project.
