Background:
|
Staff recommends contracting with Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Works to provide professional development for site and district leaders. Professional development is designed to help site and district leaders to cultivate an environment conducive to deeply implementing PBL. This will help leaders to further develop a culture of collaboration among teachers and leaders to give and receive feedback in order to reflect on their own practice and revise their work. Creating a culture of sharing and risk-taking requires modeling at all levels. We anticipate that through this platform, teachers will further develop their capacity to help our students have more meaningful and deeper engagement with content that will offer them a chance to apply what they are learning so that they may demonstrate evidence of academic success and mastery of success skills.
